But jump forward to now, and we now know we are a completely Neurodiverse family, have founded a multi-award winning not-for-profit social enterprise, Autism & ADHD, that supports families and individuals across the world, and manage a completely ND staff team.
So why the need for My ND Place?
Well, even though disability and inclusion are very much seen as important, when it comes to Autism & ADHD we are still very far behind. And this is no longer acceptable, especially given that the changes that environments and employers need to make are really not that difficult, and once made, actually help most of the population as well as bring great skills into your team.
So our vision is that by creating partnerships that provide training and ongoing support, you will not only help to change the lives of a minimum of 25% of the population, you will also move to become a purpose-driven business and be able to shout about it proudly. Which will mean that your footfall and sales will reach a bigger audience and will be setting a standard for others to follow.
Not only should you be following this path to add to an inclusive society, but it also makes good business sense.
